Allows Members of Congress to request funding for specific local projects during annual appropriations. Eligible applicants: local governments, nonprofits, and other entities depending on subcommittee. Projects must have strong community support and meet agency eligibility rules. Competitive within each congressional district. LA County applicants must work through their House/Senate offices to submit proposals. Funds may support infrastructure, community development, housing, public safety, or economic development.
