About the Grant:

EDA’s FY25 Disaster Supplemental supports economic recovery in communities impacted by 2023–2024 federally declared disasters. Three pathways: Readiness (strategy, capacity, predevelopment), Implementation (construction and non-construction), and Industry Transformation (coalition-led portfolios). Eligible applicants include states, counties, cities, special purpose units, EDDs, tribes, IHEs, and public/nonprofit economic development organizations; for-profit entities and individuals are not eligible. Cost share is required (match rate varies by distress and project type). Projects should create/retain jobs, leverage private investment, and improve long-term resiliency. LA County and its cities, JPAs, ports, and universities may apply directly if the project ties to eligible disaster declarations affecting the region. Examples include industrial site readiness, infrastructure for resilient industry clusters, workforce facilities, and planning for recovery. Rolling submission continues until funds are exhausted or superseded by a new NOFO.
